If you are interested in implementation of your own climate-friendly
technology on the territory of the Russian Federation or need a relevant
Russian technology as well as technology promotion products and
services or, maybe, would like to specially co-operate with Russian
companies (organisations), please look at this guidance. It does not
reflect the great diversity of available possibilities connected with
Russia (examples only!), but it is a real introduction. On the base of it,
you can:
get in touch with the Russian companies (organisations) indicated directly or/and to pursue your search guided by the reference sources given,
put your general-purpose question, provided this information does not satisfy your needs to facilitate greenhouse gas mitigation,
Note, please, that the availability of the sites in English was a criterion for selecting companies
(organisations) for this guidance. If you are ready to read in Russian, you can use the Additional list of Russian
companies (organisations) in Russian language. Otherwise the Russian companies
(organisations), referred at this page, have an English version of their sites, except few ones which are
presented in other languages. A number of sites have the versions in several languages, including English.
Establishing this page, we were striving not to repeat but add the main GREENTIE page
www.greentie.org.
Therefore, you can find on the mentioned page a great body of information useful for contacts and doing
businesses in Russia.
The Russian Federation joined GREENTIE in March 1997 with establishing the Russian GREENTIE Liaison Office (GLO),
which is being presented by the Department of Life and Earth
Sciences and the Industrial Development Institute "Informelectro"
of the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies of the
Russian Federation.
The Russian GLO fulfils their functions on international information exchange under aegis of
the GREENTIE Centre
(Harwell, United Kingdom) and at the supervision of the heads of the Ministry of
Industry, Science and Technologies of the Russian Federation.
The special tasks of the Russian GLO are:
to help the technical reconstruction of the Russian industrial sphere with regard of technologies and possible investments of the IEA countries, distributing relevant information and creating additional general conditions for implementation of climate-friendly technologies in Russia,
to disseminate information about Russian developments and technologies on the territories of the GREENTIE participating countries,
to assist updating information resources of organisations responsible for development of the UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol processes both in Russia and abroad.
Facilitating international sci-tech co-operation with promotion of would-be joint results is among priorities of the Russian GLO.
In 2001 the Russian GLO has been awarded the GREENTIE Cup in recognition for the hard work and achievements.
